Home in Medellín
This client hired us for our expertise in designing sustainable and energy efficient buildings. The goal was to minimize solar heat gain and thus the need for air conditioning.
Located on the edge of a steep hillside the project brought a set of structural challenges but also stunning views of almost 270 degrees. Concrete pillars had to be put deep into the ground to create a basis for a proper foundation.
The home has a generous entertaining space, a private owner’s suite and a guest bedroom wing with office. A large deck with outdoor kitchen allows to enjoy the views and outdoor living
