Quadriga Studio is a team of architects, designers and builders from the US and Europe. We work from two offices in Northeast Ohio, on homes and buildings close by and around the world.

Why a quadriga? Because it only moves when everyone pulls together.
Our name comes from the Quadriga, the four-horse chariot on top of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, the city where several of us lived and worked. It stands for how we run every project: design, design development, production and construction support stay in one team, pulling in the same direction.
We treat each project with dedication and attention to detail, from the first sketch to the last site visit. What we deliver is sustainable, purposeful architecture: clear, comfortable, built to last.

Rob has been a licensed architect for more than 20 years. He is a former HERS Rater who implemented the Energy Efficient New Homes Program for FirstEnergy in Ohio until the program ended, and in 2021 he earned his Permaculture Design Certificate from Geoff Lawton.
From 2014 to 2025, Rob worked as a consulting architect for several firms in the Cleveland area and learned a great deal about how other architects work. In 2024 he formed Quadriga Studio with long-time clients Alexander and Michelle Kolbe and Mike Farinacci, bringing the best of what he had learned as a consultant. In 2026, Quadriga merged with another of Rob’s long-time clients, Joe Myers Architects in Willoughby, Ohio.

Joe founded Myers Architects in 1988 and has been involved in every project that has come through its doors since. He holds a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati.
With more than 30 years of experience in all kinds of residential and commercial design, Joe has built long-standing relationships with colleagues in every part of the design and construction process.

Before moving to the US in 2009, Alexander ran an architecture studio in Berlin, Germany, and later in London, UK. He creates many of our designs and works with clients to set the program for each project.
Alexander has worked on projects in Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, China, Colombia and the Philippines. He has deep expertise in sustainable, energy-efficient design and has taught several semesters at Kent State University.

After graduating from Kent State University with a degree in architecture, Michelle gained international experience in residential, retail and commercial design in Germany and England. Among others, she worked in the Berlin office of architect Arata Isozaki in the mid-nineties, in the energy of the years after reunification.
She brings deep experience in energy-efficient design, client relations and construction management, and her knowledge of current building science informs our designs. Michelle is your contact when it comes to customizing your home.

Mike has 20 years of experience in high-end residential work as a carpenter. After earning a BA in architecture from Kent State University, he spent four years in the field as a rough and finish carpenter.
He then spent seven years at RSA Architects in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, designing, drawing and supervising the construction of single-family, multifamily and small commercial projects. Mike is an expert in construction documents and details. As our Vice President of Product Delivery, he is the link between design, the manufacturing plant and construction on site.

Nici is an interior designer with a Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University and more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Her work spans residential and commercial projects, with a strong focus on kitchen and bathroom design as well as office, healthcare and hospitality interiors.
Nici was an interior designer at Joe Myers Architects and continued in that role after the firm merged with Quadriga. She works with our architects and designers on a wide range of projects.

Ryan graduated from Kent State University in 2020. He knows he will never stop learning, and his passion is unique residential design.
He is currently back at Kent State for his Master of Architecture so he can become a licensed architect.

Dominic graduated from Kent State University in 2020 with a Master of Architecture and a Master of Urban Design.
He has worked with several firms in the Cleveland area on a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial and educational buildings as well as federal facilities. He plans to become a licensed architect in the near future.
Head of Safety
Cooper. Nobody passes the office unnoticed.
Cooper’s field of expertise is keeping staff and clients safe and entertained. He is in charge of treats and toys, while making sure that no one passes by the office unnoticed.
He’s a true asset with his extraordinary knowledge in testing the durability of tennis balls and shoes, as well as in his double function as undercover paper shredder.
His favorite pastime is making his humans throw sticks for him. He loves to take extensive walks in the woods or around our beautiful lakes.
