Modern Home in Cleveland
This home was designed for an urban infill lot. The clients wished to have a home that allows them to age in place. Ramps and an elevator are allowing for easy access.
Besides being super energy efficient this home is in harmony with the environment by careful rainwater management, designed on the principals of Permaculture.
Rainwater is collected on several flat roofs and flows into an open corten steel tank. From there it trickles into an infiltration bed. Holding water on the premises minimizes the need for a storm sewer.
